    Food average service is slow

The food was amazing. The only thing I would complain about is the service. It is very slow and inattentive to the Payton's needs and desires. Otherwise, if you have time to spare for the wait for your dish, go!

The service was great but the food was okay. The omelet was fluffy but not a lot of cheese. The red potatoes were salty and buttery. The jam was amazing the biscuits were decent. My friend had egg Benedict and she loved it. The place was clean, good music. I might go back it will not be often.

BAD FOOD, BAD SERVICE, NOT VERY GOOD BISCUITS & VERY EXPENSIVE!!! I wish they'd changed their name to "Just a biscuit, nothing special, smell funny and will put such bad taste in you wallet."

If I didn't need breakfast food so close to my house sometimes I would never be here. But they're just passable enough to go occasionally. Their food is really really basic and plain, eggs are rubbery so I won't eat them. I've had real nice waitresses and some rude girls. It's such a hit or miss.

No thank you. I'm not much of a diner gal anyway, but I don't mind a good authentic diner every now and again with really great food. This was all-around less than mediocre, heavy and not satisfying. If I can avoid it, I will.

We had been avoiding this place for months. The service and food had gone down hill so bad we said we would never come back. Thankfully we decided to give it one last try. Our favorite server helped us with a smile the food was fast and back up to par! We are thrilled that they have turned it around.

Couldn't even stay - turned and left after standing behind a family of four who was there long before us with several tables open and not even acknowledged. Smelled of burnt food and dirty.. Not even a "be with you in a minute" I understand why only 2.5 stars :(

Very happy to give these guys a good rating. Excellent food, great service, very clean. The menu is fairly standard American diner fare, but they don't skimp on the good stuff. Servers were very attentive and friendly, and had no problem making slight adjustments in our orders to make us happy. Coming here for breakfast every couple of weeks is a pleasure.

A year and a half later and I'm ready to downgrade a star. I'm totally over their scrambles and omelets. My favorite thing on the menu is their french toast with berries. The two main issues I have with Biscuits restaurants is that they are going for a casual family breakfast place, but there isn't a good way to order a reasonably priced children's meal. We can't leave the place without spending $40+ for our family's breakfast. When you consider that food is pretty comparable to Shari's, it just gets painful. I've never seen a discount or coupon and service can be slow. The other issue is the coffee. It is local, Eden Way, but just not one of my favorites. I recently had a conversation with someone in West Linn about that 'biscuit place.' They were surprised that I didn't particularly care for it, then I realized we were talking about two different places. They were asking about Pine State Biscuits in Portland. Totally different beast.

California guys, fishing, and searching for BREAKFAST! Settled for this 2 Star. What are you talking about? Awesome food. Great service. "From scratch" corned beef hash & eggs with biscuits , hash browns, AND salsa. Real coffee cups. AND 2% milk for my coffee. Nice biscuits. Bro says pancakes are "so good".

It would have been nice to taste the food here, considering the prices they charge for it, but we left before we had the chance. The cafe wasn't too busy and we were promptly seated in a far back corner booth. Our drink order was taken and we waited...and we waited. We flagged a bus boy down and ordered coffee and tea for a second time. A few minutes later our drinks arrived, but we still hadn't seen our server. We waited...and waited. Then suddenly the most peculiar thing happened. The table next to us was turned lengthwise and 4 chairs set up around it. We looked at each other - they weren't going to sit a 5 top next to us, were they? Oh yes they were. So there we were in the far corner of the cafe with a 5 top butted up against our table. They were so close that a server wouldn't have been able to drop our food off or refill our drinks - which they didn't. We spent 45 minutes at Biscuits Cafe and much of that time boxed into the corner by a family of five. It was very uncomfortable and extremely poor service. Maybe the food is great, but we'll never know.

Use to come here every weekend since I moved to Oregon in 2010. Back then, I would have given them 5 stars.....that was then, this is now.... Last two times I eaten there....food was cold, toast was burnt AND cold. And, items missing. I suppose it was payback for first complaint. It was the same waitress, Jennifer, that wasn't really attentive to what she was doing. I usually say, 'Three strikes, you're out'....not this time. Twice is enough for me. And, I was even in there online club where you get specials and discounts. Now I just have to figure out how to get my name and info off their site.

There a few Biscuits Cafe's in the area and they are all pretty good. They serve comfort food and they do it well.... not fancy, not at an amazing price and not really quickly, but they do it well.

The girl who seated us needed a personality infusion or she hates her job or her boyfriend dumped her, bad day? Needless to say that nobody greeted us, nor have they ever greeted us promptly the few times we were desperate enough to come down the hill for breakfast. I have walked out of here during a typical fuster- cluck of customer service. Why does this place stay in business (the after church crowd perhaps)? Take my advice and go across I-205 to the Shari's, the food is just as gloriously mediocre but at least you will be seated with a courteous human being wearing a smile. You would think that the second most affluent zipcode in Oregon could offer up something more substantial than this. If you do decide to brave it here, upon entering, look at the pass to see how many dishes are stacked up waiting to be delivered to tables. Five or more dishes are good indication that the wait staff is otherwise preoccupied with something other than being a waitstaff. That will be your dish sitting there getting cold.

Not much to say about this strip mall diner. I was excited to eat here, thinking the biscuits would be out of this world - since the restaurant is named after them. However; after some very slow service, we got our $9.99 2 biscuit breakfast (with 2 eggs and 2 sausage) and the biscuits were small and doughy. Truthfully, they weren't much different then the ones you get from the Pillsbury pop-open cans. The gravy was good, but it was the same country gravy some restaurants buy from the large cans (probably Sysco). Everything was a little cold (probably sat in the pick up window too long) so our waitress brought us heated up gravy, so that made the meal a little better. You can't really goof up scrambled eggs or sausage, so they were fine. We sat a rather long time waiting for our check, only to discover it'd been left on our table when our food was served. We then were able to leave, since you pay at the front (which we didn't know). The place itself is just a square room. It's clean, but I couldn't even tell you if there was art on the walls. It was that nondescript. All in all, I was a little disappointed....but only because a specific food should be really great if the restaurant is going to be named after it.

I went here for breakfast with my family, and I will likely not be back. I waited quite some time to be seated, even longer to be acknowledged by the wait staff, and then it was if I was a burden. The food was about average, and the biscuits and gravy were a little less than average, which I thought a bit ironic since it is "Biscuits Cafe". I would have given the food 3 stars, but the service kicks it down a star.

I'll admit I'm not the best person to write a review on Breakfast joints, but circumstances found me here for Breakfast twice recently. If I would have written this review after the first time, it would be one or two stars, but because I gave it another shot (The only reason I did was because my other choices were MacDonalds or Shari's) they get at least one more star. The first time, I was really in the hunt for Huevos Rancheros, I figured it would be good because both cooks spoke Spanish, boy was I wrong! It was awful, possibly the worst I've ever had, the sauce tasted like canned salsa from the Dollar store and the Tortillas were tough and hardly edible, the hash browns tasted like they came fresh out of the freezer. Giving them the benefit of the doubt.....OK beings how I knew how bad my other potential choices were....I went back, this time for a more standard choice of breakfast, eggs, sausage, toast and red potatoes instead of those disgusting, pre-formed, frozen hash browns. The Sausage was extra large and tasty, if not a bit over greasy, the potatoes were good, the toast was over buttered and the eggs were just right. Combine all that with two very perky and attractive waitresses that kept my coffee cup filled and they earned another star. If I find myself in the area again needing breakfast, I may come back, unless I can find some good Huevos Rancheros nearby.

Walked in and waited at the door, as the sign directed. There was a group of young guys paying, so that tied up a server for a while. Since no one ws going to seat me, I grabbed a menu and noticed this was more spendy that I thought, but for $10 bucks I should be able to get a meal. But then I noticed coffee was almost $3.00. Not for me, thanks. Terrible service, high prices, so I turned around and walked out. Bu-bye!

Used to be our favorite breakfast place. Unfortunately, it's gone from a packed, quality restaurant to an empty, underwhelming experience. Service is so bad and so slow, now we only do take-out. The food is amazing, but the cold and drafty restaurant is unbearable for a dine-in meal.

This was my second and last time going to Biscuits Cafe. Both times I tried different omelettes filled with bland wet tasteless contents. Stay far away from the fajita omelette folks, the chicken is like reformed mcnugget meat that's been overcooked into mushy oblivion. My fiance had the Huevos Rancheros the first time and the Breakfast Burrito the second, both inducing immediate mild mexicana-style diarrhea. Yuck, I know, but we need to let the hungry public know not to go to ths place! Service isn't any better: they take forever, never refilled our coffee or asked how our food was, probably to avoid our scathing review. One of the few times in my entire life that we left without tipping.

I live nearby in West Linn, and have tried three or four times to have a positive experience at Biscuits Cafe. Unfortunately, the reality is that this place started out as a sub-standard fast food breakfast joint, and has gone down-hill since it opened. To summarize: - The service is always horrific...you won't even hear from a server to take your order until you've had your drink order botched repeatedly - The food is at best truck stop quality...no local ingredients, no fresh fruit, no real syrup, etc, etc - The staff is over-worked, and not interested in even attempting to get your order right, instead relying on trying to correct it all once it comes out off of the menu - Tables, furniture, plates, and utensils are all dirty, old, and generally unappetizing to eat off of. - No real kids menu...if you have kids, I recommend you let three of them share an order of the French toast (or similar), then plan to spend the rest of the day dealing with whatever results from them ingesting that much corn syrup and low quality fried bread. You aren't going to get a real breakfast here, so you will be much better off going across the street to Sharis (gag!), where you at least won't be overcharged for the truck stop cuisine, and the coffee is better too. I hope this place closes down soon.

this biscuits cafe has HORRIBLE service!!!! Do not go here! the lady that works here has nothing but attitude. I will never go back here again. I called in a order and asked her what kind of omelets they had and she said i dont have time to tell you what kind we have u need to go look online and call back, i said i tryed to look online it would not let me open to see, that's why Im calling and asking! then i tell her what i want and she says it will be about 20 mins, then i go to pick it up, and she didn't even run the order three i sat there for a hour waiting for my food!

Went here at least 3 times since moving to West Linn and may not be going back. The food has been 'alright' on each occasion, but the service was unacceptable. Our third visit was the last. The restaurant wasn't too busy but the staff apparently were since they never even acknowledged our presence. We waited to be seated for almost 10 mins and left without one word from anyone even though they saw us there. It's too bad because I was hoping to patronize this place with regular business, but alas no:(

I've been to Biscuits about 3 or 4 times now and I have never been disappointed. Their biscuits are warm and fresh from the oven with home made jam. Love them! The blueberry pancakes and the almond crusted french toast is so delicious. I really love this place.

I have been there twice and have not been too happy. The first time was when it first opened so I expected some kinks to be still in need of working out ....took the family there and two of the kids had eggs that came out to the table under-cooked. There are kinks and then there are KINKS. Then I went with my sister on Sunday and had lunch there. My turkey / cranberry sandwich was ok. The tomatoes were not even hot-house ripe. The tomato basil soup came out luke warm (I suspect they poured it in a cold bowl). My sister's omelette looked pretty good. And I have to say that the hashbrowns were terrific. Service was just ok. I'll give it one more try for breakfast so stay tuned.

I like most Biscuits Cafes, the food is usually fresh, flavorful and filling. I've had the exact opposite the two times I've eaten at the one in West Linn. The Belgian Waffles with fruit were, and I'm being nice, garbage. Three of us ordered the same thing at the same time and they all came out at different times (15 minute separations) because they 'only have one iron' and the 'fruit' was frost-bitten hald-frozen strawberries, barely thawed and watery...gross (not even a compote)! Waffle was all bubbles and no density. None of us, including my 11 year old daughter who will eat anything, could choke down even 25% of the meal. They comp'd one meal. We walked out of there this time hungry and disappointed. Great attention by the server saved them from only getting one star.

Good food, slow service. West Linn location is much better than the Gresham.

We have been going to Biscuits for several years and were so excited when this one opened up in WL! The staff has always been very friendly, and there's even a waitress who is the spittin' image of Renee Zellweger (which, of course, is very important to know before you go)! The meals are huge, so go here when you're hungry. Oh, and even if you're full, always get an order of biscuits to go! So delish!

Been here twice. We thought it would be great since the place is generally packed. We went in for a father-daughter breakfast which has become a tradition with me. The helpings are huge - double super sized. I was starved yet could only finish half my meal. I had a chicken fajitas omelette the first time and a chorizo omelette the second. Both times, the veggies in the folded-over dish were fresh and crispy. The chicken was dried out and grossed me out when I looked at it. The chorizo sausage didn't taste good to me at all. The next time I visit I'll probably try their veggie omelettes and if that's bad then there won't be a fourth visit!

and a half..... the biscuits can be warm and fluffy.... they were on Sunday... but not always. The Chorizo was........ bland sausage??? I've never had such disappointing chorizo in my life. Left most of my food on the plate and ate one of my daughter massive pancakes.. It was good. Attentive but frantic service. Lots of "smiles" but they didnt seem well trained other than a quick hello. Very mediocre coffee.... cream packs...really???? I'm torn here, I want to like this place but cant....
